JAKARTA, INDONESIA (July 9, 2015) – Harley-Davidson®Asia Pacific has chosen Bali, Indonesia as the location for its first-ever customer-led Asia Pacific H.O.G.® (Harley Owners Group) Convention. The four-day event will combine learning through H.E.A.T. (H.O.G. Enthusiasts Adventure Training), networking and social opportunities, product expo and free entertainment for the public from 4-7 November 2015.
“We are excited to announce our first-ever H.O.G. Convention in the Asia Pacific region and look forward to welcoming customers and enthusiasts from around the region to Bali in early November,” said Martin Engelbrecht, Regional Customer Experience Manager, Harley-Davidson Asia Pacific. “We chose Bali for its strategic location, solid infrastructure and entertainment options for people of all ages— these attributes make Bali the perfect location for our event.” For more information, visit www.hogapconvention.com , live from 17th July.
Bill Davidson to attend Harley-Davidson’s first-ever Asia Pacific H.O.G. Convention 2015 in Bali this NovemberSINGAPORE (September 10, 2015) – Bill Davidson, vice president of the Harley-Davidson Museum in Milwaukee, USA and great-grandson of company co-founder, William A. Davidson will attend the first ever Asia Pacific H.O.G.® (Harley Owners Group) Convention 2015 in Bali, Indonesia, Nov. 4 to 7. “Hosting a H.O.G. convention in Bali, our first in the Asia Pacific region, is exciting for the company and our H.O.G. members,” said Davidson. “I can’t wait to join them in Bali for this historic, and fun, experience.”
In addition to meeting Davidson, participants can look forward to an exclusive showcase of Harley-Davidson’s new 2016 motorcycle model range, on display for the first time in Southeast Asia following its launch in the USA in September. They will also be treated to high-energy beachfront entertainment every evening, featuring local and international artistes against the panoramic Kuta Beach backdrop.
The four-day convention will, for the first time, incorporate H.E.A.T (H.O.G. Enthusiasts Adventure Training), a special training developed for members to share case studies and best practices, allowing them to gain invaluable skills on how to run chapters more effectively and plan memorable rides. The training will be delivered in English, Japanese and Mandarin.
Marc McAllister, vice president and managing director, Asia Pacific at Harley-Davidson, said, “Asia Pacific is one of our most important markets with more than 80,000 H.O.G. members across 24 countries. By providing a platform for our members, dealers and chapters from around the region to interact and exchange insights in one place, the upcoming H.O.G. Convention is a testament to our philosophy of being a customer-led company.
“Asia is perfect for the sport of motorcycling – combining city riding with expansive highways and scenic countryside. We expect with so many regional participants coming together for this convention for the first time, riders will form greater connections and uncover new riding possibilities in the region, allowing riders to fulfil dreams of personal freedom.”
Participants of the H.O.G. Convention 2015 who purchase one of its training packages will have a chance to enter a skills competition to win signed Harley-Davidson memorabilia by Bill Davidson, as well as a trip for two to Milwaukee, USA – home of Harley-Davidson. The trip will include two premium economy class tickets, two nights in a Milwaukee hotel and a visit to the Harley-Davidson Museum.
We love The Bali Bible guides and we're honored to be included along with our sister salon, The Shampoo Lounge, in their guide for Bali Weddings. Contact details: email@example.comAdam Bennetts You’d be hard pressed to come up with a better definition of 'Living The Dream', than the way Adam Bennetts goes about his days. By splitting his time between the Gold Coast and Bali, Adam really does have an endless summer and this is portrayed in the fun rolling house vibe he brings to the DJ booth. Adam is as versatile as they come. He's the guy that has you catch yourself out, when bobbing your head as you watch the sun go down and he's also the guy that has you grooving into the early hours of the morning. His 10 years of DJ experience really stand out in all of DJ sets, whether it be his groovy sunset vibes or as deep as house music gets. This is why you will see his name pop up on many different bills all around the world. Whilst in Bali, Adam holds a residency at Single Fin, Uluwatu, which is arguably one of the worlds best Sunday sessions. He also plays at numerous other venues, such as Jenja, Old Man's, Hu'u Bar and now, the brand new Koh. After establishing himself as a solo performer in Sydney ten years ago, Athron released a full length album ‘Taming Butterflies’ before escaping to the island of Bali in Indonesia and despite a lifetime of changing backgrounds, his foreground focus remained the same; music, writing, gigging. With softly woven acoustic-based tunes combined with raw lyrics, smooth melodies and layered with a thick vocal presence, Athron’s music combines a rich blend of emotive sounds to guarantee satisfaction for the senses. Bali's roads seem to be clogged with empty beeping taxi's but when you need one they're hard to find, call, or they haggle rather than using the meter. It can be exasperating at times!
Here are four APP based alternatives to consider on your next trip...APP based is great because pricing is typically clear, vehicles stay off road until required, less pollution/traffic, and you don't have to deal with calling on the phone.
Kura Kura Bus - You can't miss these bright buses, they're a plush way to move large groups around multiple places in Bali. We're impressed with their extensive route, multi stop tours to Denpasar and Ubud, and WIFI on board! The drivers are professional and knowledgeable about Bali too. You can buy tickets and stop near our salon at the Wisata Tour shop on Basangkasa. More: http://kura2guide.com/
Uber Bali: There's a bit of controversy around Uber and impact to local taxis at the moment but this should be your go to when there isn't a taxi in sight or you're a bit off the beaten track. You'll be suprised how many cars are serving Uber now in Bali and best of all the pricing is clear and hassle free. Gojek is taking Indonesia and Bali by storm but it ain't for the faint. It's essentially Uber of motorbikes but they'll run errands too which makes them super useful when you get that random food craving or need supplies delivered from Denpasar and don't want to deal with traffic. Most of our clients that use them for transpo are the guys coming in and out to our barbershop upstairs. Feedback has been great! More http://www.go-jek.com/ or http://www.oureverydaythings.com/2015/07/my-first-gojek-experience/
Blue Bird Taxis - The old standby and they have never disappointed. They also have an APP that few people know about so check it out. They're very fairly priced, metered, and AC'd. We just wish there were more of them, especially at the airport, in Bali.
All have Facebook pages.
There are also many great local Transpo drivers, if you have any to recommend do share or check the Bali Travel/Tourist FB pages for recommendations and contact info.
Do let us know your preferences & experiences with these services. We're happy to see so much progress to make it easier to get around this beautiful island we call home.
I've been in Bali for more than three years and frequently get questions regarding hospitals.
I've had fully anesthetized surgery at BIMC and all went well despite a black out while it was in progress. The cost was about 70% of what I would have paid in Singapore. The hospital is world class with that the priciest in Bali but the place to go if things are complicated.
Siloam is the up and coming hospital in Bali, prices are good but the pharmacy is a rip off, go elsewhere to fill the scripts they give you. My wife spent five days there following a broken ankle and it seems to be the most frequented by westerners in motorbike accidents in Bali, I saw several come in each day. The surgery went well and it was complex.
I've also been here for MRI's, Check Ups, Blood Work, and common things like Bali Belly, Asthma, and Dental. They're good but not awesome. Awesome for me is Singapore but alas I live here.
Guys, our spa is strictly healthy and we have an enforced "Erection Ejection" policy. We offer up an excellent Athletic massage and many other Men's spa treatments like foot massage, shoulder massage, waxing, facials, and such but if you're looking for the proverbial happy ending massage - we're not the place for you so please don't offer up your lil bro for our sweet staff ladies to see - that's not what we're about and appreciate that you respect our staff in this respect.
For those seeking services outside of what we offer, we recommend you use google as there are plenty of options. One spa in particular we recommend is River View Spa, it's near bye and professionally run - you'll leave very happy!
For the guys seeking a bit of male attention, we don't offer that but there are several well known places in Bali that might. Consider Banana Spa, Adam's Apple, or M2 for a more personal focus than we offer.
Our Spa is obviously not the place for naughtiness so please enjoy Bali and email me if you have questions but don't ask our staff for services not on the menu - those are not provided and make them uncomfortable to be asked. All of our staff have families so please treat them sweetly as they will you.
I'm getting, where's the best place in Bali to watch the footy, the match, the Superbowl, the game, the World Series, The Stanley Cup, etc...." alot. I personally like Adrenalin in Seminyak Square, Signal is great, professionally run, and always a great turnout! Here's a great list from Top Ten Bali that I agree with....
