I just stumbled across this awesome interactive LINK with all course locations in Bali. If I was going to visit Bali just to play Golf, I would stay three days in Nusa Dua (the southern tip) to play Bali National, New Kuta, and Pandawa. The Grand Hyatt hotel is centrally located. I would then allow one day to transit from Nusa Dua to Bedugul and then play at Handara. Nirwana is closing for renovation in July 2017 and it will be years before a course reopens there.
Raffles Golf WebsiteWhen I moved to Bali, this group was my introduction to golf on the island, they're very welcoming but take golf very seriously and I'm a hack at best. If you've just moved to Bali, I most definitely recommend Raffles to make golfing buddies and I know they welcome visitors too.
Spectacular mountain scenery, beautiful beaches, warm and friendly people, a vibrant culture, luxury hotels/villa, best surfing sport, and stunning golf courses are just few of many things that make Bali a major tourist destination over the world.
The best golf courses in Bali offer players a challenging but beautiful round, with a good combination of challenging greens and well-maintained fairways that are seamlessly landscaped into some of Bali’s most stunning locations. So are you keen on playing golf in Bali? Here are “Top 5 Golf Courses in Bali” you can visit: 1. Bali Handara Kosaido Country Golf The only golf course in Bali that is located up in the cool highlands is Bali Handara Kosaido Country Club. Bali Handara Kosaido Country Golf is surrounded by lush green mountains, crater lakes and an equatorial rain forest that create dramatic backdrops into the well-maintained creeping bent grass greens. Established in 1974, with Peter Thompson and Michael Wolveridge as its designers, the course is opened daily (with 4, as the maximum golfers per group on both weekdays and weekends). Bali National Golf Club The international standard Bali National Golf Club opened back in 1991 as the Bali Golf & Country Club and became one of the unofficial landmarks of the exclusive five-star Nusa Dua resort enclave. Bali National Golf Club, arguably now the flagship of Bali golf, following a complete redesign by Nelson, Haworth Golf Course Architects and reconstructed to international standards over the past one and a half years, officially reopened on 1 March 2014, with spectacular views over the majestic backdrop of Agung Mountain and the Indian Ocean. Your new golf journey commences amidst a lush tropical forest set on hilly parkland and then it’s on into spectacularly landscaped coconut groves, before arriving at the penultimate par 3, 17th hole, where a golfer’s question may well be “where’s the fairway”! Yes, this hole requires a precise tee shot to a magnificent island green. Its signature hole 15 is nicknamed "The Cliff Hanger" and has 240-degree ocean views overlooking two famous beaches on Bali’s southern coast, Balangan and Dreamland. Opened in 2013 and forming part of the ambitious Pecatu Indah Resort development on the southern limestone cliffs of the Uluwatu coast, this Ronald Fream-designed course's views are really worth experiencing. The golf course provides you with an amazing pitch having spots of flowering hibiscus plants and shady pines. That said, message them on Facebook and expect to get a quick response. They have by far, Bali's best selection of golf clubs and gear at reasonable prices for the island. I just bought an awesome putter there recently. Golf and Golf gear is not cheap in Bali so stock up before visiting but if you didn't go check out Bagus Golf. It's close to Bali National course and not too far from New Kuta Golf Course and Bukit Pandawa Golf Course. I believe you can rent Japanese golf clubs here as a cheaper alternative than renting at the courses which can be shamelessly overpriced.

We really need night golf in Bali.
Bali Beach Course does have a night time driving range My favorite course in Bali... I struggle with playing at the sea level courses due to the extreme heat and that's how I found Handara. It's an incredible course and comfortable to play at year round. Typically, I go up the night before as it's best to golf in the morning as it frequently rains in the afternoon in central Bali. I drive an old VW Safari so getting there is an adventure in itself but very easy by van. Allow plenty of time in the afternoon after a round to explore the area. I recommend staying in Bedugul two nights and typically stay at Strawberry Hill Hotel nearby or at Handara Resort itself - I took my extended family here one Christmas in Bali and we had a fantastic week of relaxation, golf, and exploring the area.
